Though they weren't specific about what exactly her mother saw, the news was obviously reported. I had believed that Harkness' defection had been similarly reported and would have been known by the Manties.
No, the trial wasn't reported. Honor's capture and the footage of Cordelia the Nasty sentencing her to death and of Nimitz being butt-stroked aired, but there was no trial. As for the rest, welllllllll
