Sharon's own personal corner of the Davidverse, where she can express her thoughts about family, care and feeding of an author, and life in general.
David and I just got back from an exciting trip to Virginia, and I really need to take a minute and thank all of the people who made our trip so special!
First, David was a guest of MarsCon in Williamsburg. This enjoyable Con really went out of their way to make us feel at home. They even went out and bought me a case of Sierra Mist and olives - now that's a warm welcome! We had a great time, and there were several great moments. The charity auction was exciting, and David had a wonderful time on panels with Steve White, Catherine Asaro, Allen Wold, and Charles Gannon. I would like to especially thank the vendors that were so kind to us at the Con - Phyllis White of Flying Coyote and Coyote Run, Christina Cowan of Undiscovered Treasures, Bob Holland of Orielis' Books, and Oakley's Gently Used Books. Take the time to visit these folks at the next Con you see them at!
On Monday, David and I made our way to Amelia, Virginia. David spoke at the James L. Hamner Public Library to a very welcoming group of people. Special thanks go to Dora Rowe, the Library Director, who made this possible and took us to a wonderful Japanese restaurant afterwards!
During our stay in Amelia, we were guests of Ron and Jane Timma, who run Hidden Depot Farm B&B. Their website is www.hdfbnb.com and this delightful couple went out of their way to make us feel right at home!
Thank you so much, everyone! We had a wonderful time!
